NCCWPS Seeks Applications for Women In Office Institute

Cecily Timmons, program director for the NC Center for Women in Public Service (NCCWPS), a nonpartisan organization that prepares women for elected and appointed offices statewide, details the organization’s Women In Office Institute. The leadership program is an interactive, skills-and-confidence-building program for North Carolina women to hone their leadership skills, prepare for political campaigning, and develop tools for effective and ethical public service. Women of all backgrounds, interests and political affiliations are encouraged to apply before the deadline on Friday, April 1. The Institute will be held over two extended weekends, Thursday June 23 through Sunday June 26, and Thursday July 21 through Saturday July 23. Both sessions will be held on Peace College’s campus at 15 East Peace St. in downtown Raleigh.
