Trinity Academy Of Raleigh Fundraiser Brings Equivalent Of $100,000 In Medical Supplies To Haiti

In this podcast,Claire Hao, Courtney Stoner and Kris Stoner discuss how Trinity Academy of Raleigh's upper school students raised $2,170 during a three-day fundraiser to assist with Haiti earthquake relief efforts.  The fundraiser, “Hoodies for Haiti,” was initiated by Claire Hao, an exchange student from China, whose interest in helping Haiti earthquake victims was inspired by her experience of living in China during the 2008 Sichuan province earthquake.  Students who made financial donations to support Haiti relief efforts were able to wear jeans and sweatshirts to school rather than uniforms.  The money raised through “Hoodies for Haiti” was donated to Joy In Hope, a nonprofit organization located in Jacmel, Haiti.
