North Carolina Theatre Releases Steel Magnolias Podcast

RALEIGH, N.C. – Kristin Buie, communications manager of North Carolina Theatre, has announced the release of a podcast featuring actress Maddie Chloe Taylor discussing Steel Magnolias, a humorous play that will run from Friday, April 20 through Sunday, April 29 at A.J. Fletcher Theater, Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, located at 2 E. South St. In the podcast, Taylor, who plays the character of Annelle, discusses the quintessential story of family and friendship in a unique Southern sisterhood, as well as gives a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to act in a North Carolina Theatre production. The podcast is available at http://bit.ly/HCp2dW.

Performances will start at 7:30 p.m. every night except Monday, April 23, with additional matinee performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Steel Magnolias is a skillfully crafted portrayal of eccentricity, loyalty and love set in a small-town beauty parlor. The title suggests that although they appear delicate as magnolias, the main female characters are tough as steel. This revealing play will take viewers on an emotional journey filled with laughter and tears. The production is presented by BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina.
