The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will begin widening U.S. 1/64 on Monday, January 17. This aggressive $58 million project, awarded to The Lane Construction Corporation, is anticipated to be completed in late 2006 and will widen U.S. 1/64 from south of the I-40 interchange to the Tryon Road interchange.
