N.C. Biotechnology Center Awards Reception
The North Carolina Biotechnology Center is a private, nonprofit corporation dedicated exclusively to biotechnology development. Its mission is to provide long-term economic and societal benefits to North Carolina by supporting biotechnology research, business and education statewide, and receives nearly all of its funding from the General Assembly. With headquarters in Research Triangle Park, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center was created in 1984 by state legislatures and works to strengthen the research capabilities of North Carolina’s companies and universities. The organization has three core programs: Science and Technology Development, Business and Technology Development and Education and Training.
