N.C. State University Officials Need Better Crisis Management

When it comes to crisis management, N.C. State University officials just cannot seem to get it right. Over the past months they have made the same mistakes over and over, resulting in a public relations nightmare.

When Mary Easley’s position at N.C. State first came under scrutiny, a good PR plan would have dealt with the situation quickly and truthfully. Instead, officials went on the defensive, resulting in a long, drawn-out scandal that may cause some permanent damage to the university’s reputation.

Krispy Kreme Challenge Is Really “Hot Now”

Krispy Kreme DoughnutsImagine running 4 miles in downtown Raleigh on a cold February morning. Then think about stopping halfway through the race and eating a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts as fast as you can. And picture about 6,000 people doing this with you. All in less than an hour.

Clearly this race cannot be good for your digestive system. But somehow the Krispy Kreme Challenge has become a favorite race among Triangle residents. It’s a physical challenge for a good cause – all money raised benefits the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
