This week, seeing H&M in the news brought on feelings of confusion and disappointment. A January 5 New York Times article details the findings of multiple trash bags full of new clothing, seemingly damaged by box cutters and razors, discarded outside of an H&M store in New York City.

Public relations is projected to be a hot field in the next eight years by more than one source. CareerCast.com's 2010 Jobs Rated report offers a comprehensive analysis of 200 different jobs, and public relations executive ranked higher than positions as a newscaster, advertising account executive or newspaper reporter.

Time has called 2000 through 2009 the worst decade ever. Business Insider reviewed the period and wound up with the 15 biggest PR disasters of the decade. Yet there was good news in public relations during the aughts, or whatever people finally choose to call this time, and I thought we would look back at what I believe were the best advances in PR over the last 10 years.
