Celebrities’ Biggest PR Night: And the Oscar Goes To…

The fact that celebrities hire lucrative PR reps is no breaking development, but what I think is the most telling when it comes to celebs being PR-savvy is how they act on award nights, especially the Oscars.

I like to look at awards season as a PR final exam.  Everything celebrities have been paying a team of highly-trained people to do is put to the test, and the public gets to evaluate how much they have – or have not – learned about basic PR.

Selling Liquor In N.C. Should Be Easier Than ABC

ABC StoreGov. Bev Perdue has hired an outside group to conduct a financial appraisal of North Carolina's liquor system, including studying the option of privatizing sales. The latter sounds like a good idea to me. Face it – while the Alcohol Beverage Control Commission might have worked well regulating booze sales years ago, it now acts more like somebody creating a cushy job for himself.

MMI’s Jennifer Fair Appears Live on the Today Show

Last week NBC’s Today Show (@todayshow) tweeted that they were looking for women to submit their pressing relationship questions so the show’s Man Panel could respond on a future show.  I’m a super Today Show fan, so Jen, Brittney, our fabulous intern Mallory and I put our heads together and responded with the age-old “Why do guys alienate their girlfriends around their friends?” on Jen’s behalf (she uses Skype, and that was mentioned in the question).
