NBCLess than a month into 2010, we appear to have the PR disaster of the year – or decade, maybe the century.  NBC President Jeff Zucker’s decision to force Conan O’Brien off The Tonight Show in favor of old host Jay Leno has not only prompted derision (a former NBC producer has called it  “one of the most shameful fiascoes in the history of modern broadcast television”), but also has resulted in Zucker receiving death threats.

Krispy Kreme Challenge Is Really “Hot Now”

Krispy Kreme DoughnutsImagine running 4 miles in downtown Raleigh on a cold February morning. Then think about stopping halfway through the race and eating a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts as fast as you can. And picture about 6,000 people doing this with you. All in less than an hour.

Clearly this race cannot be good for your digestive system. But somehow the Krispy Kreme Challenge has become a favorite race among Triangle residents. It’s a physical challenge for a good cause – all money raised benefits the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
